Mashed Potato

The key thing here is mashing the potato very, very gently. It takes longer but it makes a big difference.


  • 4 Big potatoes
  • 100ml Cream (or milk)
  • 50gm Butter
  • 1Tbsp Wholegrain mustard


Peel, wash and dice the potatoes and gently boil in a saucepan of water until they become soft.

Add butter, milk, cream, and mustard and gently mash until smooth.

Taste for seasoning and adjust with salt and pepper if necessary.
