As an addendum to my previous post on the new 3D printer, over the weekend I used it in what you could describe as a “the future is here” moment. While base coating my Tatooine themed houses for a set of terrain I’m building for StarWars Legion, I decided that I needed some control panels / gizmos to decorate the walls. I performed a quick search on Thingiverse, grabbed a few files and then printed them out. From thoughtbubble to physical item they were ready to be glued onto my miniatures in about 30 minutes. That’s pretty darn fast. And would have been inconceivable when I was a kid, which wasn’t that long ago really.
