I was thinking to myself the other day that I was about ready for a new major Minecraft update. I wouldn’t call myself a hardcore minecrafter, but as mentioned before we do run a server. I’ve always game a good standby option for when there’s nothing else going on or if you’ve only got a short period of time.
this new combat patch sounds like just what I was after. My entire minding career has been spent avoiding conflict rather than hunting – while I know plenty of people will gear up and run into battle, I’ve never faired so well. And I like to blame that on the really simple mechanics that have been minecraft’s combat system for so long. Now, they’re adding key features that should make things more entertaining and complicated. They’ve also added shields and duel-wielding! Brilliant! Check out the list of changes about to drop over on the Mojang blog!
