Appearance: Light red.

Boquet: Pepper, sweet berry, vanilla (marshmallow??)

Palate: Sweet berry, but followed by tanin, very short finish.

Often found for $10AUD I’m lead to believe that the Yellow Tail is one of the major Australian brands in the USA, popular due to the price point and reasonable taste. This is easy drinking wine, a bit sweet but certainly lacking complex character. Not what you’d want as an introduction to Cab Sav but certainly not an objectionable cheap wine, especially when you have standards like mine.
