Fried Cauliflower

This is designed to go with the satay sauce recipe.


1 small head of cauliflower cut into small pieces
1 cup flour

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup water
  • Vegetable oil


Combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt and water in a bowl and mix until smooth.

Dip cauliflower florets into the batter, then add them a few at a time into a saucepan of hot vegetable oil to fry.

Remove and rest on a paper towel or drying rack.
