I’d mentioned a little while ago that I’d ordered the series The Expanse by James S. A. Corey. I’m just finishing Abbadon’s Gate which is book three and I can highly recommend the series. It’s been a while since I’ve jumped into an extended sci-fi story but I’m glad I did. It’s science fiction action with elements of horror that is well paced and easy to read but contains some pretty hefty themes that are borne out well as the story develops.
I haven’t seen (and probably won’t watch) the series on Netflix but I have listened to the soundtrack and it fits the bill. If you’re looking for a sci fi fix over the Christmas break, this series would be a good choice.
