I’m not sure how long it’ll be a bug for, so I think it’s worth noting. If you happen to be exposing your devices from Home Assistant in HomeKit using the HomeKit Bridge, you may have trouble assigning the devices to a room. Whenever I changed the value using my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the room would snap back to “default room” every time I tried to save. Nxstep posted on Reddit with a workaround:
- Select the room from the list
- Tap on the name edit field (I put a blank space at the end of the name of the device, and then deleted the blank space)
- Tap done
- Close the settings panel
